
Hot cross buns Yes I know, its not Easter. π But who doesn't like a Hot Cross Bun ? I made these at Easter and they were absolutely mouth watering! So here is the recipe specially for you. ππππ Ingredients - 500g Strong White Bread Flour - Easy bake yeast (1tbsp) - 275ml Whole milk - 50gUnsalted Butter - 1 free range, beaten egg - Golden caster sugar - 1.5tsp salt - 2tsp mixed spice - 75g sultanas -tbsp water - 50g mixed peel - 100g plain white flour - Apricot jam 1) Boil the milk . Now, remove it from the heat. Don't forget, to add the butter . Leave it to cool until you can touch it without being burnt. 2) Add, the flour, yeast, sugar and salt into a mixing bowl. Mix in the milk, the beaten egg and the butter with the dry ingredients. 3) Tip, all the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for 10mins. 4) Grease the mixing bowl with some olive oil.
